Festival Workshops
Poi Passion is able to provide a range of workshops to suit any festival vibe (below).
Poi Passion has performed in many carnivals and fire poi dances across the world, including contracts with Bacardi and with festivals including Glastonbury, Wave Form, Barefoot and Sunrise. We take pride in bringing colour and fun to your events!

Poi Passion can run workshops at festivals for mixed ages or for young people and adults separately. We can also teach juggling, stilts and staff.
The workshops can vary depending on people's experience of poi, providing beginner and intermediate group classes as well as one-to-one training. Poi Passion can also provide fire poi training, including all safety aspects.
Poi Passion additionally has a range of creative art workshops; including making poi and masks. These are always very popular at events especially with young people, where they can take home their creations and practice their new skills.
During the festivals Poi Passion can work with people to develop a small troupe and create an additional festival performance.
Here are the festival workshops we run. All are for children and/or adults.
Beginners poi workshop Structured classes which last 1hour giving you the basic poi moves - run 4 times in one weekend with an experienced poi teacher.
Intermediate poi workshop Structured class which last 1hour giving you some of the intermediate moves - run 4 times in one weekend working with an experienced poi teacher.
Advanced poi workshop Structured class which last 1hour giving you some of the advanced moves - run 4 times in one weekend working with an experienced poi teacher.
Trick Swop workshops Meet other poiers and learn different styles of poi, or just practice.
Poi Making workshop You will have fun making your own poi from long stripy socks and colour tails, using Poi passions simple effective poi skills. You will then be taught some moves to practice at home with the poi you have made in this workshop. This is a great way to interact with each other and allow your creativity and skills to grow.
Mask Making workshop This workshop will enable you to work in small groups. You will be asked to create your own tribal mask, getting ideas from each other and working together. You can express yourselves through paint and colours.
Costume Making workshop This workshop gives you the chance to create your own tribal skirts, using recalled plastic bags and is a part of displaying your day's work.
Glow and Fire Poi performance Why not have Poi Passion performers demonstrate the amazing spectacular art of fire dance.
